Arterra Travel is an independent travel advisory business operated by Jennifer Siviero, affiliated with Fora Travel registered with the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO Registration No. 50027942).

What Information We Collect and Why

We collect personal information only when it is necessary to provide travel planning services. This includes:

  • Contact information (name, email address, phone number) so we can respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about your trip

  • Travel details (travel dates, destination preferences, number of travellers, passport information where required) so we can plan and book your travel services accurately

  • Payment information for travel services is processed through our affiliated host agency, Fora Travel, and through secure third-party payment processors. For digital product purchases made through our Squarespace store, payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe. Arterra Travel does not store credit card information directly.

  • Correspondence (emails, form submissions, consultation notes) so we can provide consistent and accurate service

  • Technical and browsing data is collected automatically by Squarespace as our website host. This may include your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and cookies. This data is used for website analytics and operational purposes and is governed by Squarespace's privacy policy at squarespace.com/privacy.

We do not collect personal information beyond what is reasonably necessary to complete your travel booking, process a digital product purchase, or respond to your inquiry.

How We Use Your Information

Your personal information is used to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and provide travel planning consultations

  • Research, plan, and book travel services on your behalf

  • Communicate updates, changes, or relevant information about your booking

  • Process digital product purchases through our Squarespace store

  • Meet our legal obligations under the Ontario Travel Industry Act, 2002 and Ontario Regulation 26/05

  • Fulfill disclosure and invoicing requirements as required by TICO

We do not use your personal information for any purpose beyond what is listed above without your explicit consent.

Who We Share Your Information With

To provide our services, we share relevant personal information with:

  • Travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, tour operators, ground transportation providers) as required to complete your reservations

  • Fora Travel, our host agency, as required for booking, invoicing, and compliance purposes

  • Squarespace, our website host, which processes technical and browsing data as part of normal website operation. See squarespace.com/privacy.

  • Stripe, our digital product payment processor, which collects and processes payment information for purchases made through our Squarespace store. See stripe.com/privacy.

  • TICO, if required by law or in the course of any regulatory process

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. When we share your information with suppliers, our host agency, or third-party platforms, we require that they handle it responsibly and in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Please note that Squarespace and Stripe operate under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

Marketing Communications

We will only send you marketing emails or newsletters if you have explicitly opted in to receive them. You may withdraw your consent at any time by replying to any marketing email with the word "unsubscribe" or by contacting us directly at jennifer.siviero@fora.travel.

Visiting or browsing arterratravel.com does not constitute consent to receive marketing communications.

We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you

  • Request that we correct any inaccurate information

  • Request that we delete your personal information, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain records

  • Withdraw consent to the collection or use of your personal information at any time, where that consent is the basis for our use

How We Protect Your Information

Payment transactions for travel services are processed through PCI-compliant systems operated by Fora Travel and our payment processors. For digital product purchases made through our Squarespace store (such as downloadable planning guides), payments are processed by Stripe, Squarespace's integrated payment provider. Stripe may collect and store payment information in accordance with their own privacy policy and PCI-DSS compliance standards. Arterra Travel does not store credit card information directly. How Long We Retain Your Information

We retain client records, including personal information related to completed bookings, for a minimum of six years from the date of the transaction, as required under Ontario Regulation 26/05. After that period, records are securely deleted.

Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website is hosted by Squarespace. As part of normal website operation and to facilitate digital product transactions, Squarespace and its integrated payment provider Stripe may collect certain technical and transactional data, including cookies, device information, and payment details related to purchases made through this site. This data is handled in accordance with Squarespace's privacy policy (squarespace.com/privacy) and Stripe's privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). Arterra Travel does not control the data practices of Squarespace or Stripe and encourages you to review their respective policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of arterratravel.com after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
